Paris Business Products, Westampton, N.J., launched Documents Now™ v 2.0 check production software that enables distributors and check resellers to design, print and sell customized blank checks using a computer, laser printer and MICR toner. This version offers more tools, editing capabilities and improved performance, according to the company. It features an intuitive check-designer application, which allows distributors to customize checks. Independent Printing Company Inc., De Pere, Wis., launched its 2005 Presentation Folder Marketing Kit. It features box pocket folders, CD/DVD holders, file folders and hotel key card holders. The kit also contains a stock selection guide with 17 new stocks and 4-color photos. Call (800) 236-2439.

GPA Inc., Chicago, launched the ULTRA FILM® Premium Printable Films Swatchbook featuring samples of more than 76 printable film products. The samples are shown under nine product tabs: White Films, Window Films, Specialty Films, ClingZ®, Synthetic Paper, Styrene, Rigid Vinyl, Polyester, Mounting Films and Laminates. Products include flexible vinyl, polypropylene, semi-rigid vinyl, window-cling vinyl, acetate, silver and gold polyester, holographic-metalized rigid vinyl, phosphorescent vinyl and ClingZ®. The swatchbook allows users to see and feel the substrates, according to the company. Each product tab includes information on sheet sizes, availability and application ideas. IPG Imaging Professionals, Lake Forest, Calif., launched a superwide banner. The 140 x 13-foot banner on durable mesh vinyl substrate was used at the opening of the H.D. Buttercup Manutailer™ Furniture Mart. The company used its NUR Expedio 5000 UV printer, which offers 8-color, 720 d.p.i., high-quality superwide graphics at speeds up to 2,000-square foot per hour. Its roll-fed, wide-format inkjet production press is equipped with UV-curable inks for durability in both indoor and outdoor applications, according to the company. Call (800) 733-6660.

Ennis Inc., based in Midlothian, Texas, announced that two of its facilities now offer shorter production times. The facilities in Bellville and San Antonio, both in Texas, offer production times of three to five days on exact repeat orders of 50,000 or less. Shorter production times allow the facilities to increase efficiency and profits for their customers, according to the company. The Bellville facility specializes in short to long run production of custom continuous forms, snap-a-part forms and checks. The San Antonio location primarily manufactures short run custom continuous forms, checks and 4-color forms. Interform Solutions, Bridgeville Pa., installed a 2-color Heidelberg Printmaster QM 46 press. It features automated plate hanging, in-line blanket washing system and an infrared drying system to run coated papers with ease.  The press offers high print quality and flexibility, making it ideal for small-format offset printing projects, according to the company. Interform Solutions also added a 50-inch roll stand for its 6- and 8-color UV presses to offer re-insertion capabilities. It added a 22-inch Harris 3-color press for roll-to-fold continuous singles with delivery times from 48 to 72 hours on press-ready artwork up 50,000. Call (800) 255-3370.

Wise Business Forms Inc., Alpharetta, Ga., purchased a Hewlett-Packard Indigo Press 3050. The company’s NextWave division will utilize the press for short runs and personalized digital printing. The Indigo 3050 offers maximized workflow through electronic collation, automatic duplexing, seamless job changes, in-line densitometer, and high-definition imaging and liquid HP ElectroInk that create rich, vibrant color prints at a resolution of 812 x 812 d.p.i. up to 230 lines per inch, according to the company.
