Jerry
L. Wertz was named president and CEO of manufacturer
Data Papers Inc., Muncy, Pa. He previously served as
general manager at The New Columbia Joist Company. His
career also includes leadership positions at the West
Company and Schott Pharmaceutical Glass.
Stephanie
Mathis joined the sales department at Dillon, S.C.-based
receipt-book manufacturer Herald Multiforms. She is
responsible for inside and outside sales, telemarketing,
customer relations, and company representation at industry
events.
Elizabeth
Rand Lindstrom was named project manager at Structural
Graphics, Essex, Conn., a marketing solutions provider
that specializes in 3-D print communications. She’s
responsible for managing many of the company’s
print production projects. Lindstrom previously worked
as a print production manager in marketing communications
and advertising at Mintz & Hoke, Avon, Conn.; Seton
Identification Products, Branford, Conn.; and CIGNA
Corporation, Bloomfield, Conn.
James M.
Lynde was named senior vice president of human resources
at paper and packaging distributorship Unisource Worldwide
Inc., Norcross, Ga. He’s responsible for designing
and executing plans that support the company’s
growth strategy through employee development, performance,
retention and recruitment. Lynde most recently served
as senior vice president of human resources and people
at Darden Restaurant Inc.’s Red Lobster division.
He was also vice president of human resources for Westin
Hotels & Resorts.
Glenn R. Richter was named executive vice president
and CFO at RR Donnelley & Sons Inc., Chicago. He
most recently served as CFO of Sears, Roebuck and Co.,
and chairman of the board of Sears Canada. He played
an important role in the company’s agreement to
merge with Kmart.
PROMOTIONS
Debbie
Buck was promoted to sales manager of Fort Scott, Kansas-based
manufacturer Ward/Kraft Inc.’s Creative Technology
Center (CTC). In addition to participating in Ward/
Kraft’s On Site educational programs, Buck focuses
on new product development and sales of the company’s
RealCard, Digital Labels (MyNetLabels .com) and
digital commercial print products. CTC is Ward/Kraft’s
newest division and houses a $1.2 million digital offset
commercial press. The press is capable of printing 4-color
process with 2,400 d.p.i. Carrie Hoesli, CDC, was named
sales representative for Ward/Kraft’s Short Run
Division.
Stacey Murphy was named account executive at General
Financial Supply, an Ennis Inc. subsidiary that specializes
in internal and non-negotiable bank documents. She previously
worked at Crabar/GBF, a company recently acquired by
Ennis. She also served as senior print buyer for The
Pampered Chef and as owner of distributorship Gemini
Press. Murphy is based in Naperville, Ill. and serves
GFS distributors in the central United States.
Bob Boyer
Sr. was named senior vice president of sales at Heidelberg
USA, Kennesaw, Ga. He also was appointed to Heidelberg’s
executive management team and reports directly to James
P. Dunn, the company’s president. Boyer most recently
served as vice president for Heidelberg’s South
and Southwest regions. He began his career at Heidelberg
as a press demonstrator and has served as a press specialist,
demo manager, sales representative and regional sales
manager.
Chris Brandl was named Midwest regional sales manager
for Gaithersburg, Md.-based Fusion UV Systems. Brandl,
who is based in Michigan, previously served as an independent
manufacturer’s representative for the company.
He is responsible for all of Fusion’s sales and
services in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. Brandl
also manages Fusion’s sales representation in
Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. John Clark was named
southwest regional sales manager. He also served as
an independent manufacturer’s representative.
Sandy Hooten was promoted to customer service manager
at Ace Printing Co., Palm Springs, Calif. A certified
printing service specialist, Hooten has worked at Ace
Printing for 10 years.
Dean A. Scarborough was elected president and CEO by
the board of directors at Avery Dennison Corporation,
Pasadena, Calif., effective May 1. Scarborough, who
has served as president and COO of Avery Dennison since
2000, has led key initiatives to accelerate growth,
including the company’s Horizons program. He also
directed the implementation of Six Sigma productivity
improvement efforts and integrated operations resulting
from several key strategic acquisitions, including RVL,
a brand identification products supplier for the apparel
and retail industries, and Jackstadt, a German-based
pressure-sensitive materials manufacturer. He reports
to Philip M. Neal, chairman and CEO.
