PROMOTIONS
Dennis Lindblad was named Novation national account executive at American Solutions for Business. The Glenwood, Minn.-based distributorship received tentative endorsement from Novation, a large medical group purchasing organization, to work with more than 40,000 health care facilities nationwide. Lindblad works with Wayne Martin, the distributorship's director of strategic operations support, to manage the relationship with the Novation team. Lindblad helps with certification and training, supports associates with presentations, and monitors the program to ensure the company remains compliant at the corporate level and in the field. Brennan Murphy was named Novation project manager. He works with the distributorship's internal staff and sales associates to identify needs and requirements of the Novation opportunity, and collaborates with various groups at American. He previously served as a supervisor in the Product Support department and as a strategic operations support specialist.

Stephen Miller was named product manager for packaging workflow solutions at Vancouver, Canada-based software supplier Creo Inc. Miller manages Prinergy Powerpack®, Brisque® Pack and Pandora® PDF-based workflow products for packaging prepress. Miller previously served as a packaging workflow specialist.

Dan Ablett was promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing at Mira Loma, Calif.-based manufacturer Advance Business Graphics (ABG). He focuses on integrating broad product and service capabilities into key applications and solutions directed at markets capable of sustaining growth. Ablett began his career with ABG more than 20 years ago, serving in a variety of positions, including vice president of information technology, ATS division vice president and vice president of business development. Joel Marks was promoted to vice president of operations. He's responsible for manufacturing operations and logistics at ABG's three manufacturing facilities. Gary Joslin joined ABG as senior vice president of administration and finance. He's responsible for financial and information technology operations.


NEW HIRES
Sean O'Brien was named vice president of sales and marketing at Arlington Heights, Ill.-based distributorship Reign Print Solutions Inc. He leads the company's sales efforts in coordinating, procuring and managing new business. He previously served as national sales manager at Avery Dennison's Business Media Division, Buffalo, N.Y.

F Kim Nichols, Beth Carlson and Allyson Hall joined Indianapolis-based distributorship Mentzer Printing Ink as graphics interns. Nichols attends Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. Carlson attends Ivy Tech State College, Indianapolis. Hall attends Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Jamie Mentzer, president and founder of Mentzer Printing Ink, has employed interns since he founded the company.

Sean Sharpless was named sales manager for Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington at Bridgeport, Conn.-based distributorship Prime Resources Corporation. Sharpless operates from Prime's Logotec office in Irvine, Calif. He previously served as a senior sales representative for Promarketing Gear in Seattle.

McKay Mattingly was named Southeastern region sales manager for the commercial web sales unit at Chicago-based supplier MAN Roland Inc. Mattingly's territory ranges south from Virginia to Florida and west to Arkansas and Louisiana. He most recently served as regional sales manager for Ferag/WRH Marketing, a postpress manufacturer headquartered in Switzerland.

Louis End was named account executive at Shawnee, Kan.-based manufacturer Nazdar's Northeast region. The territory includes the New York City area and Long Island. End, who has more than 23 years' experience in the graphic arts and printing industries, provides service to Nazdar customers and develops business in his territory.


RETIREMENTS
Norm Fey and Tony Haga announced their retirements from Edgerton, Minn.-based manufacturer Fey Industries Inc. Norm Fey founded the company in 1965 with his father John Fey and brother Dar (D.J.) Fey. Norm served as vice president until John's death in 1981. As president and CEO, Norm asked Tony Haga, who had 17 years' sales experience in the printing equipment and supply industry, to join the company as vice president of sales and marketing. The company recently hired Don Taft as president and CEO. Norm Fey remains chairman of the company's board of directors.
