Forms from the South Pacific
The kiwi, New Zealand's national emblem, is a flightless bird with hair-like feathers and a slender bill. It's most active in the wilderness at night, and birdwatchers say the bird is efficient, sensible and impressive.

So are the forms that won awards from The New Zealand Business Forms Association (NZBFA), an affiliate of Printing Industries of New Zealand. NZBFA held a 6-category contest last year to honor printing companies that provide well-designed forms to end users. Marj Green, CDC, CPSS, vice president of operations at DMIA, and Dennis McGarry, CDC, vice president of manufacturing and technical programs at DMIA, completed judging in December.
Three New Zealand companies-- Wickliffe Ltd., Dunedin; Moore Gallagher, Auckland; and Chaucer Press Ltd., Christchurch--dominated the contest. Here's what they won:

Wickliffe Ltd.:
* First Place, Category 1--invoice for Professional Lighting Services

* Second Place, Category 1--invoice for Veterinary Professionals

* Second Place, Category 3--invoice for ANZ ZED Card

* First Place, Category 4--pallet note for The Yummy Fruit Company (This entry also won The Item Award, sponsored by Spicers Forms.)

* Second Place, Category 5--vehicle trading system for Toyota
