Ward/Kraft
Inc., based in Fort Scott,
Kan., introduced three envelope
products. Cromatica combines translucency
with vivid colors, making it a
high-impact mailer. Made from
an extra white transparent paper,
Dentelle envelopes are available
in six patterns created by using
watermarking technology. Cromatica
and Dentelle are ideal for advertising,
direct mail, retail announcements
and invitations, according to
the company. Its Coupon Envelope
provides coupons that are removable
from the outside of the envelope.
The coupons can be redeemable
or work as an incentive for the
recipient to open the envelope,
it said. Call the company's Kansas
plant at (800) 821-4021 or Ohio
plant at (800) 351-9302.
FYI
Ennis
Inc., Midlothian, Texas, announced
that its Wolfe City, Texas, plant
doubled its 17-inch dual web capacity
with the installation of an additional
dual web flexo press. The addition
shortens delivery times for form/label
combinations. The press handles
material from 20 lb. bond to 20
pt. tag stock and accepts ion
deposition and ink jet variable
imaging systems. The facility
also added a 5-color, 7.5-inch
web press ideal for printing narrow
width, 4-color process labels
and tags with UV varnish. It also
offers cold foil-imaged products
with the look of a hot foil stamp.

CE
Printed Products Inc., Carol
Stream, Ill., is changing the
brightness of its white wove envelope
stock from 84 to 92. The 92 brightness
will create improved print contrast
with cleaner, crisper and bolder
images, according to the company.
Paper mills countrywide are adopting
the 92 brightness to create shade
uniformity. Users aren’t
required to make changes to current
PMS ink color specifications.
