PROMOTIONS
Richard Miller was named general manager at Columbus, Kan.-based Calibrated Forms Co., part of the Ennis Forms Solutions Group. Miller, who has worked at Calibrated Forms for 14 years, most recently served as sales manager. Vicki Scott was named sales manager.
Bill Taylor joined General Financial Supply, part of the Ennis Financial Solutions Group, as plant manager of the company's Nevada, Iowa, facility. Taylor most recently served as general manager of the Western region for Harland Financial Solutions, Atlanta. Brian Beck was promoted to assistant plant manager. He has worked at GFS for 15 years, most recently as a systems coordinator.
John Roudebush was named account manager for El Dorado Springs, Co.-based Witt Printing Company, part of the Ennis Forms Solutions Group. Roudebush, who has been with Witt Printing for eight years, has extensive production and quality-control experience.
Libby Guntner was named director of operations at Duluth, Ga.-based ACOM's iSeries division. ACOM, Long Beach, Calif., develops and markets software that enables companies to reduce or eliminate paper processes. Guntner previously served as director of customer services. Marisel Jones was promoted to supervisor of professional services. Jones joined ACOM as a trainer in 2000. In other appointments, Technical Support Supervisor Brenda Bush has the added responsibilities of quality assurance and pre-sales technical support. Development Project Lead Robert McCarrier now is in charge of documentation and network operations.
Ed Bialecki was promoted to senior vice president of sales for all U.S.-based dealer/reseller and direct sales operations for Fairfield, N.J.-based supplier Kycoera Mita America. Bialecki develops and implements sales expansion strategies for the Kyocera and Copystar dealer divisions, the systems integrator/VAR group, the national and government account division, and direct sales. Michael Cozzens was promoted to vice president of sales for the Kyocera dealer division. He's responsible for the Kyocera dealer division nationwide. Don Snowden joined the company as regional sales manager for the Southeast. He previously served as vice president of sales at Minolta.
NEW HIRES
Kimberly Schrum was named customer service manager at Claysburg, Pa.-based manufacturer NPC Inc. Schrum works with the company's commercial and government customer service teams to ensure quality project management and communications. She previously worked at the RR Donnelly plant in Lancaster, Pa.
Jennifer Apa was named account representative at Harrisburg, Pa.-based HAPSCO Design and Printing Services Inc. Apa, who has more than 12 years of experience in printing sales, production and staffing, markets design and printing services to existing and potential customers. She also is customers' primary contact for estimating, production and billing. She previously served as sales and marketing representative for a commercial printing firm in Camp Hill, Pa. Former HAPSCO Account Representative Diane Rex was promoted to customer service representative and production planner. Rex focuses on inside sales support and customer service, and production planning and estimating.
Steven J. Landmann joined Chicago-based supplier MAN Roland as Midwest regional sales manager. He assists MAN Roland customers and prospects by analyzing their workflows and developing recommendations to increase productivity. He most recently served as a predictive maintenance technician at Sussex, Wis.-based commercial printer Quad/Graphics.
Joe Scott was appointed senior vice president of sales for North America at Baltimore-based Vertis, a provider of targeted advertising, media and marketing services. He manages the company's regional sales teams and vertical market segments, which include automotive, nonprofit, insurance and financial. Prior to joining Vertis, Scott served as director of global strategic outsourcing sales competency for White Plains, N.Y.-based IBM Inc.
APPOINTMENT
Martin J. Maloney, chairman of Greenwich, Conn.-based public relations and marketing agency Broadford & Maloney Inc., was appointed executive director of The Print Council, a business development initiative in Greewich dedicated to promoting the use of print media.
RECOGNITION
Larry Zavadil, president and CEO of Glenwood, Minn.-based distributorship American Solutions for Business, and his wife, Diane, were hailed as "community leaders and builders" by the University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM) in Profile, a university publication that honors alumni, parents, friends and donors. The Zavadils support UMM's Rural Student Scholarship Fund. Their support provides financial assistance to UMM students from Minnesota and the Upper Midwest who wish to live and work in rural communities throughout the state. The Zavadils also have helped fund the university's athletics program.
