NEW HIRES
Scott Berry was hired as senior vice president of sales at WorkflowOne, Dayton, Ohio. He will lead a team of more than 900 sales and customer service reps. Previously, Berry was senior vice president of sales for the global document solutions division of R.R. Donnelley, and worked for Moore Direct and Clarke American (now Harland Clarke).
Tom Hoft was hired by Workflow Management Inc., Dayton, as division counsel, a newly created position. He is responsible for contract negotiations and litigation management. Previously, Hoft worked at Senco Products Inc. for 19 years.
John Anderson was hired as flexo product manager for packing products at Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, Rochester, N.Y. Previously, Anderson served as technical and education director of the Flexographic Technical Association of North America. He has also held positions at the European Flexographic Technical Association and the Welsh Center for Printing and Coating at the University of Wales Swansea. Principally, Anderson will work with the recently introduced Flexcel NX Digital Flexographic System for packaging.
Joe Czyszczewski was hired as chief sustainability officer at InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh. Czyszczewski and a newly formed team will focus on new eco-friendly programs and concepts, including the Comet Circle designation.
Ben Schwartz was hired as senior vice president of people and leadership at Quebecor World, Montreal, Canada. Previously, Schwartz was the vice president of corporate human resources at Molson Coors Brewing Company in Denver, and worked for other Molson divisions in Canada. He also held positions at Pratt & Whitney and CAE Electronics Ltd.
James (Jim) Beisel was hired by All Barcode Systems, Garden Grove, Calif., as eastern account manager. Beisel was previously employed by NCR.
Paul Clark was named managing director for technology partnerships for DemandBridge, a Norcross, Ga.-based provider of software solutions for print distributors. Clark assumed his new position at the beginning of 2008. He manages deployments for DemandBridge eProcurement and sourcing solutions. Clark previously served as director of IT and customer support for Massachusetts-based distributorship Winbrook.
Stephen Flood was hired as general manger of digital direct marketing operations at Vertis Communications, Baltimore. Flood, who has 28 years of industry experience, will focus on the Monroe Township, N.J. and Irvine, Calif., markets. Previously, Flood was COO of Cirgit Inc., a software company in the print procurement industry, and was a senior vice president at LP Thebault Company. Oscar Padilla was hired as director of interactive services at Vertis. Previously, Padilla was managing director at Mindshare Interactive Campaigns. And worked at Bridgeline Software. Joe Singer was hired as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Vertis’ direct marketing division. Singer has more than 20 years’ experience in the direct marketing industry, and previously worked at Visant, Banta Corp., Transkrit and ADVO.
Shelly Pasicznyk was hired as general merchandise manager at SanMar Corp., a promotional products company in Preston, Wash. Pasicznyk has more than 16 years’ experience in the apparel industry, and most recently was the senior merchandising manager at Nike Golf. In her new position, she will supervise product creation and assortment planning.
Kateryne Santana was hired as a rep at Sunbelt Sales, Atlanta. Santana has more than 15 years of sales experience and will work on branching into Spanish-speaking markets.
Mark Novelli was hired as national sales manager at Nationwide Envelope, Southfield, Mich. Previously, Novelli worked for Trade Envelopes Inc. for 15 years.
PROMOTIONS
Mark Tucker was promoted to president of Ward/Kraft Inc., Fort Scott, Kan. Tucker, a 28-year employee of the company, has been a management executive since 1985. Previously, he served as the senior VP of manufacturing. Tucker replaces Michael Del Chiaro, who has left the company.

was named general manager of Kodak’s Electrophotographic Printing Solutions division, and vice president of the Graphic Communications Group. He will manage various solutions including the NexPress platform and the Digimaster systems. Fletcher was hired by Kodak in June 2007, and was previously president and COO of Konica Minolta. He has more than 20 years’ industry experience.
J. Steven Whisler was elected to the board of directors at International Paper, Memphis, Tenn. He is the retired chairman and CEO of Phelps Dodge Corp., a copper-producing company. Whisler also serves on the board of directors for US Airways Group Inc., Brunswick Corp. and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp.

was promoted to president and CEO of Quebecor World, Montreal. He has been the executive vice president and CFO of the company since 2005. Previously, Mallette worked for Cascades Boxboard Group Inc. Jean La Couture was appointed to the board of directors, succeeding Reginald Brack, who resigned. La Couture was CDO of the Guarantee Company of North America.
Timothy Combs was appointed to the board of directors at the international graphic communications nonprofit, EDSF. Combs, who is senior vice president of sales and marketing for Fujifilm Graphic Systems, is a 35-year veteran of the graphic arts industry. He is also currently on the board of directors of the Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing, and Converting Technologies (NPES).

, chief business development officer and vice president of Kodak, was honored by BtoB magazine as the best business marketer of 2007. The magazine, which called Hayzlett a “print evangelist,” recognized him for multifaceted marketing program development since spring of 2006. They cited specific examples such as the “Print is…” campaign and the Kodak Print Ambassador program.

, 81, former National Business Forms Association president (1974-1975), died Dec. 20, 2007. Till, who was a U.S. Air Force veteran, worked at Business Forms Service for 30 years and participated in various community volunteering efforts. Till is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eleanor, and his children, Mark, Claudia, Michael and Laura. The memorial service was held on Dec. 28, 2007 in Brighton, Mich. Memorial contributions should be sent to the Leader Dog School for the Blind in Rochester, Mich., available at leaderdog.org.
Bob Wendt, president of Business Forms & Systems Inc., Colorado Springs, Colo., died unexpectedly of an aneurism in his home Nov. 11, 2007. Wendt, who ran BFS Inc. with his wife, Jan, was a 31-year veteran of the printing business

, founder of Tamarack Products, died Nov. 8, 2007. After serving in the Navy from 1945-1946, he spent the first part of his printing career at UARCO, where he was a chief engineer and is credited with developing the Data-Mailer. He started Tamarack in 1969 from his home, designing and building equipment for mailer forms and form/label production. He began a simultaneous 20-year career consulting for Wallace Computer Services. He’s listed as the inventor on more than 60 patents, including international patent equivalents. Steidinger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred; children David, Mark and Janet (Wigodner); and six grandchildren.
