Appleton, Wis., added a print-side
identifier to the ream edge of
its NCR PAPER brand Xero/ Form®
II carbonless paper. It works
with the print-side identifier
arrow on the ream label, and its
markings include arrows that point
to the papers’ print side.
The identifier helps reduce waste
by eliminating paper loading errors,

printing on-demand forms using

Xeikon,
Lier, Belgium, launched the Xeikon
Print Protector. The device protects
digitally printed matter during
traditional finishing and mail-sorting
system handling. The protector
applies a water/wax/silicone oil
emulsion on both sides of the
digital print. This forms an invisible
protective layer that makes all
Xeikon printed documents stand
up to daily wear and tear, while
keeping colors bright and accurate,

with all Xeikon print engines
and can be used in different modes
(sheet, web or stand-alone) to

that its DPX 4 platesetter offers
cost-efficient performance of
Silver Digiplate polyester
plates to printers who run 4-up
presses. Developed jointly by
Mitsubishi Paper Mills Ltd.
and Vandalia, Ohio-based Esko-Graphics,
the DPX 4 produces up to 26.7
x 29.5-inch, press-ready plates
with minimum operator intervention,
