Capture Business Cards, Minneapolis, announces the launch of Capture Card, a
patented type of business card with customizable adhesive labels on the back of
the card. The labels can be printed using conventional offset or digital
printing equipment, and can also feature repositionable labels. Popular

Desktop to The School of the Future, a Philadelphia-based education-related
charity. The school is a cooperative effort between the Philadelphia School

Nashua Corporation, Nashua, N.H., will open a new manufacturing and
distribution facility in Cranbury, N.J. The new plant will meet the company’s growing demand for wide-format specialty paper products, coinciding with

OfficeMax, Itasca, Ill., will install Canon’s large format imagePROFRAF W6 400 pigment ink printers in more than 500 stores
nationwide. The printer is Canon’s 24-inch wide format solution. It can produce poster-sized photographic prints,
large visual aids and graphs, and professional customized posters and signage.
The installations will be completed by the end of July 2006.
Gluers Post Press Services LLC, Hayward, Calif., has implemented “THE System,” a business management software package that includes job costing, product
scheduling, automatic data collection and sales analysis. The software was
written by CRC Information Systems. Gluers is a bindery and finishing company
working with graphic arts firms.
Standard Horizon, Andover, Mass., won a “Best of Show” award at the 2006 On Demand Conference & Expo in the bindery/finishing category. The winning piece, the BQ-470 Perfect
Binder, features end-to-end automation, color touch-screen control, and

Vertis, Baltimore, announces the installation of a VIRTU36 UV Flat Bed Printer
in its Irvine, Calif., facility. The new printer will boost Vertis
’ large format production capabilities, including time reductions and cost

Transcontinental, Montreal, Quebec, has installed a 64-page Goss Sunday 4000
press system with Automatic Transfer. This high-speed book-printing press was
made to measure by Goss for specialized short- and medium-run books, and it
includes a number of new features. Its eight automatic transfer units allow for
instant switchover between operating and idle units without stopping the press.
