Appleton Papers, a supplier based in Appleton, Wis., introduced Impede security papers in compliance with ANSI image-ready standards. The paper is white on one side and pastel-colored on the other side, and it can be printed on either side. Colors include pink, tan, green and blue. Impede papers feature chemical-reactant areas; embedded fluorescent fibers; and Linemark, a patented marking system that creates the appearance of lines that change from light to dark depending on reflected light.
