PROMOTIONS
Stan Dohan Jr., MAS, was promoted to corporate vice president and director of sales and marketing of promotional products manufacturer The Allen Company, Blanchester, Ohio. Dohan, who joined the company more than seven years ago, recently earned Master Advertising Specialist certification from Promotional Products Association International. He previously worked as a commercial underwriter at Cincinnati Financial Co. and as a paralegal at Finnegan, Henderson, Sarabow, Garrett & Dunner, a patent and trademark law firm in Washington, D.C. Susan Clayton was promoted to corporate comptroller. Clayton, who joined the company more than five years ago, previously served as accounting manager. Prior to joining the firm, she served as accounting manager of Scanner Applications Inc.

J. Lawrence Jones was promoted to carbonless and uncoated business manager of supplier MeadWestvaco Corp., Stamford, Conn. He reports to Joe Mrochek, vice president of carbonless sales and marketing.

Cathy Spence was promoted to operations manager of supplier TopForm® Software Inc., Norcross, Ga. A 17-year company veteran, she's responsible for coordinating technical development and enhancement projects. Spence continues serving the firm's accounting and support departments.

Dee Brown, CDC, was promoted to sales assistant manager of manufacturer The Flesh Company, St. Louis. She supervises sales assistants at the company's Parsons, Kan., plant, and is responsible for order entry, quoting and customer service. A 19-year company veteran, Brown previously served as a senior account manager.

Robert G. Burton, president and CEO of Moore Corporation Ltd., Toronto, Canada, was elected chairman of the company's board of directors.

Mary Lou Touhey was named northeastern regional sales manager of supplier Base-Line Inc., Auburn, Wash. Previously, Touhey was responsible for sales in the Southeast. Roger Colehower joined the firm as vice president of sales and operations for its Jomac Products Line. He has manufacturing responsibilities for Jomac™ products and oversees international sales of Ryno Roller compounds. An original founder of Jomac, Colehower served Jomac in sales and distribution positions before founding a distribution software company.

Derrick Ayers was promoted to the new position of technical director for security and commercial inks supplier SICPA North America Inc., Brooklyn Park, Minn. Previously, he served as technical manger and packaging application specialist at Kromacorp International, which SICPA acquired in 2000.

Nick Franzi was promoted to director of fulfillment at Made E-Z Products Inc., a publisher of self-help software, books, and business and legal forms in Deerfield Beach, Fla. He's responsible for overseeing purchasing, custom order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, warehousing and inventory, custom packaging, and product development. Franzi, who is ISO 9001-certified, previously served as print projects manager.

Kelly Snyder was promoted to customer service representative of manufacturer Rapid Bind Inc., Portland, Ore. A 4-year company veteran, she previously served in the company's quality control department.


NEW HIRES
Daniel Siadak, CDC, was named president and COO of Roanoke, Va.-based distributorship Source4. He's responsible for business development programs to enhance the company's future growth. Siadak, DMIA's 2000-2001 president and an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, previously served as CEO of distributorship RBF Inc.

Charles S. Cadigan was named senior vice president and executive committee member of distributorship AB&C Group Inc., McLean, Va. Previously, he directed channel sales and global customer relationship management for Acxiom Corp., served as vice president of marketing and sales/senior strategist for Epsilon, and served as founder and executive vice president of marketing and strategy for TransAmerica Marketing Services Inc.

Richard J. Morelli joined Hunt Valley, Md.-based distributorship Webb/Mason as a vice president of its Philadelphia sales office. He's responsible for regional business development and sales management. Previously, Morelli served as a sales director for 24/7 Media and held executive management positions at Wallace.

Gordon Griffiths was named president and CEO of manufacturer Mail-Well Print Group, Englewood, Colo. He replaces David Blue, who recently left the company. Previously, Griffiths served as co-founder, chairman and CEO of Caxton Group; president and COO of St. Joseph Corp.; and in various positions at Quebecor Printing Inc., including president of Quebecor Printing Canada.

Ronald Cohen was named executive vice president of software products supplier Create!form International Inc., Waltham, Mass. He's responsible for helping to establish strategic direction to drive the firm's growth, to position the company to enhance new and existing technologies, and to leverage product expansion into new vertical markets. Previously, Cohen was president of e4m Solutions. Robert Bunn was appointed vice president of worldwide finance and operations. He's responsible for financial and operational controls for the firm's subsidiaries worldwide. Previously, Bunn was a senior associate at Andersen Corporate Operations Finance LLC. Mark Klenner was named vice president of strategic alliances. He's responsible for establishing and managing technical and business alliances with printer manufacturers and ERP, document workflow and storage vendors. Previously, Klenner served as the firm's Asia Pacific general manager. Leigh Rowland was named vice president of product development. He's responsible for overseeing the design and development of new product lines and features. Previously, Rowland served as the firm's product design manager and technical support manager. David Frechette was appointed Americas director of sales. He's responsible for growing revenues through direct and channel sales programs in North America, Central America and South America. Previously, Frechette served as vice president of business development at Chickasaw Holdings-Apigent Solutions Inc.

Andy Matter was named managing director of Milwaukee-based NiceWare International LLC, which supplies and supports software for the automatic identification and data collection industry and serves as the Western Hemisphere distribution channel of NiceLabel™. Previously, Matter served as vice president of marketing for Teklynx International.

Kenneth F. Lake joined commercial printer Walden Graphics Company Inc., Walden, N.Y., as senior sales representative. He's responsible for direct account management and business development for clients in the New York/New Jersey area. Previously, Lake served for 20 years as a sales representative for Springhill Press Inc., which recently ceased operations.

Shannon Bliss was named to the new position of marketing coordinator at promotional products manufacturer Adva-Lite Inc., Largo, Fla. She's responsible for developing and coordinating marketing activities, including print collateral, online promotions and new product introductions for the Adva-Lite and Neo™ product lines. Previously, Bliss served as assistant product manager of BIC Graphic USA.


AWARDS
Chuck Clark, founder of Clark Graphics, a Warren, Mich.-based manufacturer, was awarded the Ben Franklin Award from the Michigan Printing Week Association. Presented Jan. 15 at the 19th Annual Printing Week Dinner and Awards program, the award recognizes a Michigan-based graphics arts professional who supports the community and serves as an example of excellence to industry peers. In addition, Clark Graphics received eight other printing awards at the ceremony, including the PIM/Heidelberg "Best of the Best" award.

Michael Johnson, owner of distributorship Proforma Pinnacle, Celebration, Fla., was awarded the Franchisee of the Year Award by the International Franchise Association during its annual convention. Johnson was among 33 business owners in 12 states and Japan to receive the award. It recognizes leaders in the business community who contributed significantly to franchising and the free enterprise system.
