Avery Dennison—Fasson Roll North America, Painesville, Ohio, introduced Fasson® tamper-evident security products. The pressure sensitive label stocks are used for applications such as pharmaceutical packaging, over-the-counter drugs, electronics and mail closures for consumer and manufacturer protection. The products include base-level Fasson® Security Paper with invisible UV fluorescent fibers, and UL and lightweight litho papers. For higher levels of authentication, the company offers Fasson® film products, including specialized acetates, holographic polyesters, cativated polystyrene and HDPE. Xerox Corp., Stamford, Conn., opened the Gil Hatch Center for Customer Innovation. Located in Webster, N.Y., the multimillion dollar, 100,000-square-foot facility offers customers a one-stop access to Xerox’s digital production printing equipment, according to the company. Additionally, Xerox launched a faster version of its iGen3™ Digital Production Press and an enhanced Xerox Nuvera™ black-and-white printer line. MAN Roland USA, Westmont, Ill., offers Maxson sheeters for all large-format ROLAND 900 presses. The sheeters are available in roll widths from 44 inches up to 73 inches, and roll diameters of 72 inches. They can handle substrates from 50 lb. paper up to 28 pt. board and synthetic materials such as plastics, foil board and metallized paper. Brandtjen & Kluge Inc., St. Croix Falls, Wis., announced its partnership with Cimex Corporation, Belchertown, Mass. Brandtjen & Kluge will package Cimex CimPACK Lite and Diemaker software modules with the Kawahara Automatic Blank Separator. CimPACK software enables Kluge to import and review prospects’ dieline files and overlay the Kawahara TXR-1100 or TXR-800 pin templates, according to Brandtjen & Kluge. Spiral Binding Company Inc., Totowa, N.J., introduced WireMac-Duo wire finishing system. It punches and closes 3:1 and 2:1 pitch wires, and has both die sets installed in a single unit, without the need to change the dies, according to the company. WireMac-Duo wire-punches and binds up to 200 sheets, it said. It has a 20-sheet single capacity and a 14-inch wide punching capacity with open sides for even wider documents. Printers’ Service, Newark, N.J., announced its agreement with SpeedyDry-Genesis LLC, Charlotte, N.C., to distribute SpeedyDry Ink Dryer Additive. The SpeedyDry additive dries offset and duplicator inks up to 75 percent faster, according to the company. It’s available in 16-oz. squeeze bottles, including 6-packs, and gallon jugs with a pump top. Neopost Inc., Hayward, Calif., introduced its line of data management systems, including the Multi-Carrier, Shipping Automation; NeoTrak™ parcel-receiving; and Postal/Multi-Carrier Accounting software. The shipping automation system allows users to process small-parcel shipments from a single-user screen on a computer and store shipment details in a database. NeoTrak automates receiving and tracking of mail deliveries.
