Eastman Kodak Company, Chicago, announces that its i6000 check scanners will now feature Silver Bullet’s RANGER software.  The scanners convert paper checks into digital images at retail locations and in bank teller lanes. The RANGER software will allow clients to seamlessly integrate almost any check processing software with any check scanning hardware.

Symbology Inc., Minneapolis, has teamed with Axicon products to offer three pre-press bar code verification tools. Primarily, the new verifiers inspect codes in film using light illumination from below, instead of above – ensuring greater measuring accuracy. Eastman Chemical Company, Kingsport, Tenn., announces a new formula for hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive, used in packaging tapes and labels. The formula, which includes less than half the normal amount of isoprene, directly addresses the global isoprene shortage using a blend of KRATON polymers SIBS.
