Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference
The 2007 Printers & Suppliers Executive Conference, July 22-24 in Madison, Wis., features a behind-the-scenes plant tour from the Midwest’s premier printer, Suttle-Straus, followed by an in-depth presentation and discussion with John Berthelson, the company president. Berthelson will talk about how the plant positioned itself to be on the leading edge of technology and rebranded itself as a full service communications provider.
“The industry is changing,” said Peter Colaianni, CAE, executive vice president of DMIA. “We saw the need to fashion an event focused on how printers could learn about new practices and adopt new technologies to thrive over the next 10 years. Suttle-Straus is a prime example of how to excel. I’m impressed, and grateful, that they’re welcoming our event at their plant.”
Attendees also will have the opportunity to learn from some of the country’s leading executives. Presentation topics include: Sales for the Successful Printer by David Fellman, Evolving Your Business Strategy by Jeff Allen, and Skill Requirements for 2010 and Beyond by Debra Thompson. Visit www.PSDA.org for registration, program details, and hotel information.
Education
DMIA and Ennis Inc. have established the VIP Series, four local events designed to bring industry leaders timely educational programs and valuable networking sessions.
The two CEO Forums of the VIP Series feature speaker David Cichelli whose topic on Best Sales Compensation Practices earned him rave reviews at DMIA’s 2007 CEO Summit. CEO Forums will be held in Boston on August 15 at the Hyatt Harborside and in Chicago on Sept. 11 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. CEO Forums are open to company principals only.
General Forums will be held in Houston on July 25 at the Northwest Forest Convention Center and in Orange County, Calif. on Sept. 19 at the Anaheim Marriott Suites. The General Forums, which are open to all, feature presentations from industry leaders as well as distributor panel discussions. “It was important to us that we offer the VIP Series events throughout the country,” said Pat Cook, vice president of sales and marketing for Ennis. “We want to add to the success of recent DMIA meetings by bringing speakers to distributors who may not have been able to benefit from previous events.”
Peter Colaianni, CAE, executive vice president of DMIA, said, “We’ve set up a series that will demonstrate new strategies to help our manufacturers, suppliers and distributors grow their businesses. Thanks to Ennis’ support, these programs will be free.”
