PROMOTIONS
Kevin Lombardo was promoted to president of Englewood, Colo.-based manufacturer PrintXcelSM. He's responsible for growing the firm through strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, new product developments and new channel developments. Previously, Lombardo served as CFO. Prior to joining the firm in 1999, he served the Electronic Drives Division of Emerson Electric.
Lee S. DeMattia was promoted to director of Emkay Associates Ltd., an executive search and consultation firm in Roanoke, Va., that specializes in serving the document management industry. Prior to joining the firm, she held sales and senior marketing positions at Bedinghaus and TRANSKRIT®.
Mark Dance was appointed CFO of supplier Creo Products Inc., Vancouver, Canada. He replaced Michael Graydon, who now plays an advisory role for the firm. Dance, who joined the firm in 1994 and previously served as president of its graphic arts division, continues to serve as COO and director of the company. Judi Hess replaces Dance as president of Creo's graphic arts division. Hess, who joined the firm in 1995, most recently served as corporate vice president of printing workflow solutions.
Lori A. Crank was named vice president of St. Louis-based manufacturer Corley Printing Co. She continues to serve as customer service manager. Crank, who joined the firm in 1981, also has served as lead estimator and customer service representative. In 2001, she became a company officer when she was appointed corporate secretary.
NEW HIRES
Bob Berardino joined manufacturer The Flesh Company, St. Louis, as COO. In this newly created position, he's responsible for overseeing operations at the company's Parsons, Kan., facility. Most recently, Berardino served as director of operations of Paperworks Inc., a Detroit-area paper merchant. Previously, he served as director of operations of what was originally Ford Motor Co.'s in-plant printing facility and vice president of operations of National Reproductions, a Detroit printing company.
Steve Williams was named general manager of Vero Beach, Fla.-manufacturer Coastal Graphics Fine Printing, a subsidiary of manufacturer Quick Tab II, Tiffin, Ohio. He's responsible for the firm's manufacturing and sales functions. Richard Gould was named manufacturer's representative for Quick Tab II's Michigan and northern Ohio markets. Previously, he was owner and operator of Business Products for Industry, a Michigan-based manufacturer that recently merged with Quick Tab II.
JoEllen Lawler was named director of human resources at supplier SICPA North America Inc., Brooklyn Park, Minn. Previously, she gained 15 years of divisional and corporate human resources experience with Honeywell Inc. and Pentair Inc.
Ira D. Hall was appointed director of manufacturer Reynolds and Reynolds, Dayton, Ohio. A former treasurer of Texaco Inc., he currently heads its finance department. Previously, he served as general manager of alliance management for Texaco and held several positions at IBM Corp., including director of international operations, treasurer of IBM U.S. and controller of IBM World Trade Corp. Dr. David E. Fry and Richard H. Grant III were re-elected to 3-year terms as directors. David R. Holmes retired as chairman and company director after serving on the firm's board since 1987. Holmes, who joined the company in 1984, served as president and CEO from 1989 to 1999. Also, Richard H. Grant Jr., who served as the firm's president from 1941 to 1957 and chairman from 1957 to 1982, died in June 2001. Grant, 88, served as a board member until two years ago, when he became a director emeritus.
Christopher Colville was named CFO of Houston-based manufacturer Consolidated Graphics Inc. Colville, who served as the firm's CFO and executive vice president of mergers and acquisitions from 1994 to 2000, most recently served as a managing director of a Los Angeles-based investment banking firm.
