Frank
R. Graziano was named vice
president of manufacturing at
Corporate Express Document &
Print Management (CEDPM), Omaha,
Neb. Graziano has 27 years of
operations and management experience
in the printing, office and consumer
product industries. Prior to joining
CEDPM, he served as vice president
of operations at Multi-Color Corporation
and held several management and
executive roles with Technicolor
Entertainment Services, Avery
Dennison and The Procter &
Gamble Company.
Ed
Kennedy was named eastern
regional sales manager at Degrava
Systems LLC, Roswell, Ga. As eastern
regional sales manager, Kennedy
will be responsible for establishing
distribution and support services
in the eastern half of the U.S.
and Canada for the Degrava DP
8500 narrow web digital printer
for the short run label and tag
market. Kennedy held sales and
management positions at Barco
Graphics, Xitron, Screen, Iris,
Alphatype Corp., Itek Corp. and
MGD.
PROMOTIONS
Carl
Weaver was named vice president
of operations at Block Graphics
Inc., Portland, Ore. In his new
role, Weaver will oversee operations
in all six of Block Graphics facilities
while helping to ensure a successful
move of the company’s Paso
Robles, Calif. facility to Reno,
Nev. Weaver has been with Block
Graphics’ envelope and forms
manufacturing divisions for more
than 16 years with 14 of those
years spent in management positions.
Michael
Maher
was promoted to vice president
and manager for VisionBank Marketing
Resources Management and Jeff
Robison was promoted to vice
president and manager of VisionBank
Ad Production at Vertis, based
in Baltimore. Maher will be responsible
for the VisionBank Marketing Resource
Management Solution, a suite of
web-based software applications
designed to develop marketing
programs. He will be involved
in product and business development
of this solution. Robison will
oversee product and business development
for VisionBank Ad Production,
which provides inter-dependent
software tools for merchandising,
advertising and IT groups to drive
retail print advertising. Maher
is a founding member of Vertis’
Digital Solutions Group and was
once a vice president of Strategic
Marketing at Collabria. Robison
joined the Digital Solutions Group
in 2002 and prior to that served
as president of Darby Inc.
Mike
Fox was recently named president
of Screen (USA), Rolling Meadows,
Ill. Fox succeeds Eiji (A.J.)
Kakiuchi who will continue his
current position as board director
of Screen (USA) and president
of Media Technology Company of
Dainippon Screen Manufacturing
Company Ltd., based in Kyoto,
Japan. In his new role, Fox will
primarily be responsible for the
planning and execution of all
activities that promote Screen’s
comprehensive portfolio of digital
prepress and printing solutions
throughout the United States,
Latin America and Canada. Fox
was senior vice president of sales
and services for Screen (USA).
Robert Prah was also promoted
to vice president of sales. Prior
to his new position, Fox was national
accounts manager for Screen (USA).
As the new vice president of sales,
Prah will oversee the Screen sales
force in the U.S. and Canada.
Ken
Branchaud was named northeast
regional sales representative
at Winthrop Atkins Company, Middleboro,
Mass. Branchaud will be responsible
for regional sales efforts of
the promotional and print divisions
covering Massachusetts, New Hampshire,
Maine, New York, Connecticut,
Rhode Island and New Jersey. He
will also assist in marketing
efforts by promoting the company’s
new Product Development Center
that opened in February 2006.
Branchaud was a marketing associate
at Winthrop for 20 years.
Dan
Beck was named president and
COO of Imaging Solutions Inc.,
a newly-created imaging supplies
company of Franchise Services
Inc., headquartered in Mission
Viejo, Calif. He will be responsible
for developing three new distribution
channels. For the past 10 years,
Beck served as president of Sir
Speedy Inc., also an FSI company.
Richard
Lowe has been appointed president
of Sir Speedy, where he was previously
senior vice president of franchise
operations. Lowe has worked at
Sir Speedy for 17 years.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Marlene
Wolf and Shannon Hoffman
of Vertis, Baltimore, were certified
as managers of quality/organizational
excellence by the American Society
for Quality. Wolf serves as director
of quality management and Hoffman
serves as quality assurance manager
at Vertis.
RETIREMENT
Doug
Adams, national sales director
for Carbonless, recently retired
from Appleton, in Appleton, Wis.,
capping 34-year sales career with
the company. Adams’ career
at Appleton has been marked by
achievements, including the company’s
highest sales recognition and
being the recipient of the chairman’s
award. During his retirement,
Adams will serve as a consultant
to Appleton.
IN
MEMORIAM
Diane
Koch, general manager of Interstate
Imprints, Fogelsville, Pa., passed
away on April 17 at The Albert
Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Koch worked at Interstate Imprints,
a subsidiary of Five Thousand
Forms Inc., for 23 years. “Diane
was well liked by many of our
customers and employees and had
an admirable way of dealing with
people,” said Herb Levy,
CFC, president of Five Thousand
Forms Inc., also based in Fogelsville,
Pa. She is survived by her husband,
Barry L. Koch, Sr., and her son,
Barry L. Koch, Jr.
