PROMOTIONS
Thomas D'Agostino Sr. resigned as non-executive chairman of Palm Beach, Fla.-based Workflow Management Inc., a supplier of business printing and supply chain management services that owns distributorship SFI and e-commerce solutions provider iGetSmart.com™. Gerald F. Mahoney was named non-executive chairman. He previously served as the company's interim president and CEO and is a former chairman and CEO of Mail-Well Inc.
James A. Buzzard was appointed to the newly created position of president at Stamford, Conn.-based supplier MeadWestvaco Corp. He's responsible for the company's general operations, including its Packaging, Coated and Specialty Papers, Consumer and Office Products, Specialty Chemicals, Forestry and Technology operations. Previously, Buzzard served as executive vice president, overseeing the company's Consumer and Office Products group and the 2002 merger integration of The Mead Corp. and Westvaco Corp. Cynthia A. Niekamp was named senior vice president and CFO. She's responsible for the company's Corporate Strategy operations as well as financial management and reporting, including financial planning, treasury, asset and liability management, and investor relations. Previously, Niekamp served as a senior vice president and was responsible for the company's corporate Strategy, Specialty Chemicals and Specialty Papers operations. Karen R. Osar, who previously served as senior vice president and CFO, resigned in order to pursue other interests. Daniel J. McIntyre was named vice president of communications. He's responsible for the company's communications, including public relations and internal communications. Previously, McIntyre served as vice president of public policy at Pharmacia Corp, which recently was acquired by Pfizer Inc. Ian W. Miller, executive vice president of the Papers Group, left the company.
Nachum "Homi" Shamir was named president and CEO of ink jet digital printing technologies supplier Scitex Corp., Tel Aviv, Israel. He also continues to serve as president and CEO of Scitex Digital Printing Inc., the company's wholly-owned subsidiary.
Lisa Finneral was named COO/principal of distributorship Kelley Direct Solutions, Portsmouth, N.H. A 13-year company veteran, she previously served as sales development manager. Shawn Kelley was named principal. Kelley, a 12-year company veteran, also now serves as senior account manager.
John C. Campanelli was named president of Chicago-based manufacturer R.R. Donnelley's print business, which includes premedia services as well as magazine, book, telephone directory and catalog/retail insert printing. Campanelli, who has served the company for more than 23 years, previously served as president of R.R. Donnelley Logistics. William R. McLennan was named president of R.R. Donnelley Logistics. McLennan, who joined the company in 1996, previously served as COO of R.R. Donnelley Logistics.
Timothy Schriner was named president of Dayton, Ohio-based manufacturer Relizon's U.S. Business Communications (USBC) unit. Schriner, who formerly served as Relizon's CFO, joined the company in 1987 when it was known as the Information Solutions Group of Reynolds & Reynolds. He has held various senior financial leadership roles and general management responsibilities in the company's document and billing solutions units. Sarah Burton was named acting CFO. She has 12 years of finance experience and more than 10 years of treasury experience. Burton, who joined Relizon in 2000, previously served as treasurer. Michael Anderson was named senior vice president of sourcing and logistics services at Relizon's USBC unit. He leads USBC's operations, including plants and business service centers, global sourcing, supply management and the customer implementation team. Previously, Anderson served as vice president of global operations at NCR Systemedia and senior vice president of integrated graphics at Wallace Computer Services. Anthony Orme, who previously served as senior vice president of sourcing and logistics services, retired after serving the company for 39 years. William Bussick was named USBC senior vice president of sales. He leads USBC's sales organization. Bussick, who has 18 years of industry experience, previously served as vice president of sales for USBC's Midstates and Central divisions. Brian Silverberg was named USBC vice president of finance. Silverberg, who joined Relizon in 2000 after serving the Ford Motor Company and its Visteon spin-off, previously served as Relizon's director of corporate financial planning and analysis.
NEW HIRES
David Del Brocco was named vice president of regional sales at Englewood, Colo.-based manufacturer PrintXcelSM. He leads the company's regional sales managers in developing and executing effective sales plans designed to help distributors grow their businesses. Del Brocco, who is based in Orlando, Fla., previously served SONOCO, a commercial and consumer packaging company.
Michael Newman was named Western region vice president at St. Louis-based distributorship The Jerome Group. A 25-year direct marketing and advertising industry veteran, he leads the distributorship's new Los Angeles office. Newman previously served as vice president of business development at Direct, a Minneapolis-based direct response marketing organization. Rob Renick was named Eastern region vice president. An 18-year industry veteran, he leads the distributorship's new office in Coral Springs, Fla. Renick previously held numerous business development and sales positions at O'Neil Data Systems and Moore Corporation Ltd., where he built the company's Southeastern U.S. business territory and repeatedly led the firm in sales to the region.
Scott Poole was named general manager of manufacturer Business Card Express (BCE), Needham, Mass. He's responsible for the company's production, customer service and delivery departments and for driving the growth of BCE Color Printing Express. Poole, who has more than 40 years of printing experience, previously served as customer service manager at Bay State Press, Framingham, Mass.
Randy Olson was named West Coast region sales manager at General Financial Supply, Nevada, Iowa, a division of manufacturer Ennis Business Forms Inc. Olson, previously served as general manager at Regency Thermographers, a division of Taylor Corporation.
John Short was named field marketing representative at supplier NAStar Inc., Middleton, Wis. He's responsible for serving new and existing accounts in the northern Midwest and for developing marketing projects for strategic areas.
Katie Ryan was named account representative at distributorship SWM Inc., St. Louis.
MILESTONES
Donna Fletcher, a member of the customer service unit at Fort Scott, Kan.-based manufacturer Ward/Kraft Inc.'s Kansas Forms Division, earned accreditation as a Certified Document Consultant (CDC). To earn CDC certification, business document professionals must pass a 250-question exam on the design, construction and application of business forms and document systems. DMIA administers the exam. The CDC designation denotes detailed knowledge of business procedures, products, technology, design, materials, production and equipment.
