IPG Imaging Professionals, Lake Forest, Calif., launched business cards made from frosted Lexan®. The company collaborated with PlainJoe Studios, Corona, Calif., to create the business cards and matching binders made from high-impact, mar-resistant .20 frosted Lexan polycarbonate sheet. Promogul LLC, Chicago, introduced receipt envelopes. Each envelope contains an NCR paper that makes a duplicate copy of the envelope’s front. When a user is making a charitable donation, he or she can fill out the envelope, remove the internal receipt for his or her records, and place the donation inside. The user doesn’t have to depend on the event coordinator to give a receipt, making the product convenient for churches and other similar groups. The envelope is available in regular size. Wilmer, Dayton, Ohio, announced it’s now an approved printer for security prescription pads for the state of California Board of Pharmacy and Florida’s Agency for Healthcare Administration. Wilmer meets all compliance requirements, including multiple security features manufactured directly into the pads and California’s mandatory watermark. The company prints pads within five business days after customer approval. The minimum order requirement is four pads or eight books. The pads are available in sizes of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches with one or two parts. The company is offering rewards for each new order of eight pads or 16 books through Sept. 30. Call (800) 494-5637.

The web page includes the company’s branding elements and a set of literature selected by the salesperson. When a prospect clicks on the page, the sales rep receives an email. Muller Martini Corp., Hauppauge, N.Y., will demonstrate this month its Presto saddle stitcher. The 9,000 cycle-per-hour saddle stitcher is ideal for small- to medium-size lengths. Featuring automated menu-guided PLC controls and touch-screen operation, the saddle stitcher handles books of sizes from 12 x 14 3/8 inches to 31 5/16 x 51 1/16 inches. It offers quick makeready and changeovers, providing faster turnarounds. The company has six CDI (Cyrel Digital Imager) plate imagesetters for the production of flexo plates in a large variety of sizes. Relyco Inc., Dover, N.H., introduced Troy® Secure MICR Toner. The toner contains a unique dye that’s released when exposed to substances typically used to alter check information such as the dollar amount or payee name. Substances used to remove or wash toner from checks release the special dye, leaving a red stain on the affected area. The product allows users to add a level of security to their checks without changing the check stock they use. The toner is available for the 2300, 9000/9050 and 4200 Troy® Printer models. Featuring 10 preset job functions, the IJ 70 is ideal for tracking departmental costs, allowing up to 200 departments to charge back their own postage while using their own pin codes to ensure security.
