Proforma Awards Print and Promotions,
Montgomery, Ill., helped raise nearly $10,000 during the third annual Bridge Walk hosted by LivingWell, a local cancer resource center.

Darcy Ringhofer, Proforma account manager and a breast cancer survivor, approached the business' owner, Greg Siebert, about the possibility of building a team for the walk. With the help of Siebert, her co-workers at Proforma, her family and her friends, the 35-member Team Proforma was built. The team was the highest grossing team of the event, raising nearly $10,000. "We wanted to get involved for many reasons," says Siebert. "We wanted to show our support for Darcy, but also to do what we can to help our community. We believe there are so many worthy causes, and we all need to pick something to try and make a difference."

Ringhofer became involved with the LivingWell center after her diagnosis in 2005. At the time, the center had just opened and her brother, a Delnor Foundation board member and former president let her know about the facility. "It was so empowering for so many people rallying around me and for such a good cause," says Ringhofer. "LivingWell provides all of these wonderful programs for the entire family to help you get through it. They have been there for me and my family, and I want to give back just a small part of what they have given me."
